Every July for the past 150 years, rich, poor and middling Haitians have made the journey from around the country and even abroad to the tiny village of Ville Bonheur and the nearby Saut d’Eau waterfall, 60 miles north of Port-au-Prince.
Sakpasemontreal.com had their third Annual International Haitian Music Festival in what was known as the Festival de Musique Haitienne on the weekend of July 11-13, 2008. As the title suggested, this festival was more than a Konpa Festival and showcased a broad range of Haitian Music.
