Did anyone notice the following billboard posted at the top of HX homepage? It looks like we have two big events taking place in April. First the HMI Movie Awards and then Compas on Broadway...

Kathy, at first glance, this looks like nonsense. Where did you get the list from? Almost every single one of their websites is either mis-categorised, or spelled incorrectly.Shows lack of seriousness, no attention to detail, and sloppiness if you ask me.

I got the list from belfim.com...and you are right, a lot of the websites are misspelled and categorized incorrectly...Haitixchange is NOT a television website, but more of a cultural website where news and issues that is affecting the Haitian community in and outside of Haiti are discussed (I don't even think these people have even taken the time to visit this site)...bamboch and kreyol tv is for entertainment, but HX? Hell no! They need a new category for that!
Just wondering... What are the requisites to be a nominee? Who is making the list? A single person? A comity?
If these people want to be taken seriously they should be transparent about HOW they do all this, If they just do it for promotion (self-promotion?) or entertainment, it is fine too as long as they don't call it AWARD. The whole purpose of an award is to gratify outstanding achievement. I may be wrong but this list (although some persons on it truly deserve to be there) looks more like a meli-melo than like a reference to excellency. And remember : just one single rotten orange can spoil the whole basket.

LOL! I didn't want to be the first person here to point that out. Some of the movies/actors on this list are among the worst I've ever seen. In my opinion, they also have too many nominations in different categories; 3 to 4 should suffice. Honestly, I think they're doing it more to promote the flailing industry as a whole, rather than rewarding excellency.
