Port-au-Prince is dragging down the rest of the country with it.

Haiti is full of these "pure" places North, South: charming, little to no crimes, friendly people, beautiful landscape and beaches.

Unfortunately, Port-au-Prince's image which the media erroneously accords to all of Haiti is appropriated to these cities too.

The beaches are beautiful, I hope that the government gives the city more attention and start to invest in it, because like Jacmel it is a city that has a lot of potentials.

Yes, Maximo.

It has beautiful beaches. That's where my mother is from. She says since Duvalier (that's where a lot of Duvalier's "foes" were from), Jeremie has been ignored by the rest of the country. She hopes better road access for the future. The rest of the country, especially the South needs to break away from Port-au-Prince and Haiti already. lol.
