La Troup Zetwal Celebrates the Flag

The Brooklyn-based Haitian dane group, la troup Zetwal presented "An Nou Eksplore Tradisyon Ayiti" - Let's Explore the Richness of Haiti's Culture, at the Brooklyn Public Library on May 3rd, 2008. Performances included drumming, singing, and dancing, several numbers from Haitian Racine (Roots) group Dja Ra Ra, and a surprise visit from Mathieu Eugene.

I was there!!! It was my firt time at an event covered by HX. There's even a pictrure of me (but I won't tell you which one.)

Anyway, these girls dance really well. I was impressed. When Dja Ra Ra started playing, I had to stand up!!! Ok. Sine I travel so much, that's my Haitian event for the month.
