I'm sitting on a plane at JFK getting ready to take off for Santo Domingo, on my way to Haiti. I've packed a tent, a sleeping bag, and all types of things I don't usually pack when I fo to Haiti. Still not sure what I will find, I'm hopeful that I will get a lot of good news, find people that I still can't locate, and not have to go to any funerals. I'm almost scared to get to Haiti, only to find out that many of my old hang out spots have been changed forever. Anyway, we'll see.

I'll be posting as much as possible, so please visit this thread often.

May the spirits be with you!

Just got to Santo Domingo! As I was in the cab, a report came over about a 4.0 after shock in Haiti. Hope it didn't do any damage. Anyway, I'm in Sasnto Domingo's historic district and met up with a guy named Paul from Massachusetts. (yon blan). He has a very free spirit and is also on his way to Haiti. Not sure what he is going to do, but says he has to be there. I'm gonna try to get an interview.

Anyway, nou pa bezwen inkyete nou. I'll be fine. Will also be posting some pictures later.

Opulent7, Hotel Discovery is comfortable, but the economy room is almost closet-size small. There is a small bathroom also, and it is clean. Since all I'm going to do is sleep in the room, and leave tomorrow morning, it's ok. The hotel is in the historic part of Santo Domingo and has a lot of nightlife and restaurants. But at night watch out. Se bouzen mwen we selman (neg konku fanm!) Anmweeee. I'm staying inside.
