Cremas

2 (12 oz) cans of evaporated milk
4 (12 oz) cans of sweetened condensed milk
1 (15 oz) can cream of coconut (NOT to be confused with coconut milk)
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp almond extract
1 anise star
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp grated nutmeg
1 lime (zest and juice)
1/5 80 proof rum (You read that right. A fifth. The whole bottle)

Mix all ingredients together in a large pot and pour into tall glasses filled with crushed ice. Sprinkle with a bit of nutmeg to fancy it up.

tHIS RECIPE LOOKS OKAY. I KNOW YOU NEED BOTH EVAPORATED AND CONDENSED MILK. AS FOR THE OTHER INGREDIENTS ..TO TASTE.
BE CAREFUL WITH THE LIME. ADD IT A LITTLE AT A TIME. REMEMBER KEEP TASTING.

I used to love baking but have not done so in a while. Think I'll start tonight with a pineaplle upside down cake if I can find rhum , I'll add some.

Dam a whole bottle??? I was looking to put it in a blender and possibly make at least 3 bottles cremas by using one bottle of rum

LOL LOL LOL

Didn't realize it was that much.

If you reduce the rum, you'll lose fluid...don't know how that'll affect the final product.

Scratch that one. It's not good!

I tried the recipe above the other day and it came out perfectly... I did not add the lime juice cuz I was afraid it was going to tunen.

Question: can you put a little ginger in cremas?

My mom uses that when she's making it, and it doesn't "tounen"
