Yes, I've reported on this before relative to rental rates in Haiti.

The grimiest shack will run you $150/month and something decent will easily cost $450 plus.

Mind you, folks are getting paid next to nothing by the NGO's right now. The government is broke and there is virtually no industry.

PIH pays $30/month; Sweat shops pay $60/month; Red Cross $150/month.

Only the foreigners are making US based wages.
