I wanted to ask the men a question... I saw this ad from Ralph Lauren and I was wondering what man would wear this... What kind of man are they aiming towards... Would you wear it? I see myself wearing it but not a man.

Gay and bisexual men shela Jo. A lot of gay men this is their styles, with the pink belt etc. Most straight men don't dress clean looking like that. Most straight men don't have style, they need us to put them together like that.

I know this as a fact because Iam a gay guy
I would not put the shirt over my shoulder like that, nor wear the pink belt, but this is my typical style, clean looking like that.

(sigh) Am I the only girl who likes to see a man dressed up beside the typical Jordan's & pants below their a**?

As a gay man I like guys who have style like that. What if the guy is JQ hot sexy looking and he dress like pants below his a*** and jordan's etc will you be into him Shela Jo?

The one's with their jeans sagging and Jordan's are usually the one's who want to "holla" at me, can't speak proper english, and are obnoxious. I don't do that, sorry. Plus the way I am and how I was raised that's a big no no. You know Haitian parents. I know, I know I shouldn't judge a book by it's cover but really, I love a man who is dressed up, it doesn't mean they're gay it probably means they are sophisticated and doing something important with their life. It's just an assumption. I wouldn't mind befriending them (boxers showing & gold teeth) but attracted? No. Hell, I got a cousin who's like that. Own over, idk 25 pairs of shoes, pants below his waist, listening to Lil Boosie 24/7 It's a major turn off! I'll take a prep over a gangsta any day lol.

Most guys who usually dress like that are gay or bisexual. Most straight men don't dress clean fine like that. If you come here in new York most of the men who dress like that are gay or bisexual, if anyone know what Iam talking about can I have an amen.

Well... idk about New York but! I know the difference between well dressed heterosexual man from a well dressed bisexual/gay man. Did you see gunner's post from the other topic. He seems well dressed but he's not gay or bisexual.

I guess that's where advertisement was going towards... but come on now, a straight male doesn't really need a stylist to dress him. Go to a black church on Sunday and see the men and how they dress... They are not gay but they got style.

I see your point, unfortunately a large portion of black men in the U.S dress like gangsta, it's not easy for a straight woman to find the type of straight black man that you described( I am sure some of the straight women here can back me up on that). In order to find that type of guy easier ,you have to date out of the black race , you have to date white men and other race, there are straight white men who love black women and who are the type of guy you described.

Not all the times you can tell when an heterosexual man is well dress and when a gay man is well dress, for example me I always look nice when Iam going out, I always wear nice fashionable clothes and look well put together, and a lot of straight women hit on me thinking that Iam straight, because Iam not feminine, I don't have feminine walk or other stereotype they have about gay men . And it happens to a lot of gay men who are not feminine who look sexy and that I personally know.

I didn't see gunner picture, I would like to see what he looks like ,in what thread he posted his picture?

LOL My God Shella don't say funny things like that, when you go to a church not all the men you see are straight ok, there are gay and bisexual men also , and many times the bisexual ones are on the down low, they might have a wife and are having sex with men on a side. I thought you were smarter than that to know that. I used to go church every sunday , now I go once awhile . So you could of say I was straight too, and the fact is Iam gay.And I personally know gay men who go to church . Shela Jo my dear wow! that is so funny LOL

A lot of straight men are so into their masculinity and their manly persona, a lot of them beleive fashion is more for women , or some don't want to be perceive as gay things like that, that's why most of them don't have a sense of style, it's the true.

Well... That's you. I can tell by their demeanor that they are most likely gay, even in a 3 piece suit. It's not the look. We both have different experiences, but what I'm trying to say is that just because a man has style doesn't mean he most likely gay. Gunner had a post where here http://www.haitixchange.com/index.php/forums/viewthread/7540/P12/

I know that, I have no problem dating outside of my race. I won't automatically assume that all black men that I will see in the streets dress like hoodlums. When I say well dressed, they don't have to be wearing a suit 24/7. I don't think you understand, you wouldn't see a well educated black man dressed like a gangsta. Like my brother, he dresses really well but he is definitely not gay. What I'm saying is that I'm attracted towards well dressed, well educated black man. I have standards. What I look like? I'm a educated black women and it's obvious that I would gravitate towards that...

I thought you were smarter than that maximo. I was giving an example when you see a straight male who dresses well. I'm NOT talking about the sexuality, i'm talking about style. Are you serious? I know there are hypocrites at church. That's their problem. My point I'm trying to get across is that a male is not most likely gay if he dresses well. I have male friends who are 100% straight and they make sure when they go to church or to the club they are dressed to nines. It's how they are raised, it has nothing to do with sexuality.
