So cash and their Goldman Sachs Investment account = $2.37 BILLION USD's.

Yes, that's with a "B" as in Billions!

For those who are apologists for the NGOs, I suggest you look at the above numbers one more time and then explain to me why Cholera vaccine at a MINIMUM is not being administered.

Why the Red Cross pulled out of Haiti because the "money ran out".

Read, contemplate and then respond.

Otherwise, well, you look like an idiot!

I see why no one bothers to reply to your bullshiit anymore(same old stories everyday, with no constructive answer for the problems)..I have the deifinition of considering at the bottom for you..No where in the article they that they are "building it or not building it..Do you know how many things NGOs have been put consideration for haiti in past couple years that went ghost??

The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies is considering building a hotel and conference center in Haiti on part of a $10.5 million property that it bought after the 2010 earthquake.

The hope is that profits could sustain the work of Haiti's local Red Cross in the coming years, the head of the international group's Haitian delegation said Monday.

They spend 10.5 mil for the property, and only using a little portion of it, ..It's not a bad thing to sell the portion they not using to a partner to build something on it to use the profits from it to do more!!

The international Red Cross has spent $754 million in Haiti since the earthquake, with an additional $114 million spending planned for 2012. Other Red Cross organizations also have their own relief operations in Haiti.

can you understand that

these NGO's with the money and who said to want to help us, can’t really do it because their existence is inconsistent with our economies and social development.

if Haitians have a good job, they will no longer be dependent on NGOs, and if we bring the food industry in Haiti to mass-produce foods such as chicken, beef, eggs, pigs, milk etc which is the foundation of all economies, Haitians will stop importing food from the United States, and these NGO's will stop receiving money to help the Poor which they’ll never accepted

they’ll never accepted losing one of their biggest customers particularly when the unemployment rate is at the highest level in US
so when these people say they are helping us, they are simply trying to keep us in misery as long as they can.

How Can you be that naif

$754 million? Really?

You want to itemize that statement since it's so speific?

I've given you their EXACT figures on what the currently hold, now do the same with $754 million.

And again, WHERE does it say THEY ARE NOT building a hotel? Read, define, contemplate, respond.

Show me the results of that $754 million.

That is very good insight, however it all depends on what type of economy you want to see Haiti be based off of. The direction for implying is one of a agricultural based economy, I seek a technology-manufactuing economy after a very well based tourism-based economy is set up. Without ENERGY, none of this can be accomplished. Once this is established, then Haiti can focus on priorities such as building an expansive middle-class, which is very difficult in an economy based on farming.
