If the misery of Haiti’s poor is not caused by their nature, but by institutions, great is the sin.

After stating publicly that he will arrest those criminals "hiding" in parliament. His Minister of Justice illegally arrested Deputy Arnel Belizaire. Incident happened while Martelly was in Florida receiving medical treatment. Returning to Port Au Prince, Martelly said he had nothing to do with the arrest.......instead of appearing in front of an investigative commission, his Minister of Justice, Pierre Louis, resigned. The court system found that the Deputy was not wanted by the law. A commission later found that it was Martelly himself who had ordered the arrest.......

That deputy Pierre Louis who was found to have violated the constitution, was later named by Martelly to head a commission for judicial reform.

Martelly illegally started collecting an increase in taxes from international calls. Monies to this day have not been fully accounted for....Martelly claimed that's because the funds are kept in more than one account.
His administration has not giving explanation of how much collected? Where deposited? Withdrawls made from money?

The constitution was amended, as mandated by 2 consecutive parliaments, all was set for the amendments to go into effect with the new administration. Martelly refused to allow its publication. After political pressure from inside Haiti and international organizations, including the prestigious Madrid club, a club made up of ex Heads of States around the world, Martelly made a joint press conference and announced the publication of the amendments. He later said he changed his mind because he was advised by his friends not to allow it. By that time, international community contributions to reconstruction were drying up.

Martelly refused to allow new elections. After the terms of some mayors had run out, Martelly simply ordered them to vacate and replace them with people of his chosing.

During his election campaign he frequently visited paramilitaries in training around the country. His campaign was based on bringing back the army and had frequently advised them to get ready. They did. Creating an illegal paramilitary fully armed, occupying old military barracks, riding around the country with military weapons.........the population has named them Milice Rose.......an illegal force.

His cousin, the former Prime Minister Bellerive, had signed contracts with the dominican republic that are illegal.....Martelly tried to stop the investigation, when the new Prime Minister Conille refused to end it, the other Ministers refused to deal with the P.M.....leaving him with no choice but to resign.

Later Martelly claimed that he was for an audit all along....... what he is referring to was an audit done by the Minister of Planning, which had concluded that nothing was wrong with the contracts. That Minster of Planning Day is not only Bellerive's cousin......but he was also Bellerive's assistant when the contracts were arranged and signed.

Martelly has said he doesn't have to answer to Parliament during an investigation......that was regarding his real identity......after political pressure including a demonstrations of 10,000 angry Haitians.....he finally submitted his passports........which not only raised doubts about his nationality but also confirmed that he was able to walk into the Haitian Embassy in Florida and obtained passports under many different names.......Martelly has said he is not required to give any explanation.

Martelly is involved in bribes from the political machine of dominican republic that amount in excess of USD 2.5 million .....some dispersed after he became president. He happily accepted medal of honor from that country......some say that honor should not be giving to crooks and requested that the president of Haiti return it back to the dominican people.

Martelly is accused of wiretapping people he believes to be against him.....a case in dominican republic where Pierre Kanzky, good friend of Wyclef Jean, son in law of Phillipe Armand, a very pwerful businessman in Haiti, was accused of trying to overthrowing Matelly.......that Kanzky guy had to answer to dominican authorities, Wyclef jean released statement stating Martelly is wrong......His father in law called Martelly a liar during a ration program......short time later, Martelly was on a plane to Florida for medical treament for "pulmonary embolism"

Now, he says the turmoil in Haiti is happening because pres. Aristide doesn't want to be his friend........unbelievable! Since Martelly himself destroyed the country when he participated in the coup d'etat of 2004 against democratically elected pres. Aristide

En Devant,

At least we can agree once. I was thinking the same thing: tender glass houses!

Ti-simone has to be the most stupid/idiotic/moronic puppet ever placed by the international on Haiti.

They chose well as it makes their job easier.

LOL, is it me or is someone shifting the blame for his "failure" to Aristide? hahaha!

Didn't he also met with Jn Claude, P. Avril, Preval, why is Aristide's name the only one that he printed out?

Micky mete charyot a devan chwal la, li fe pwomes a dwat a goj, monte lestomak li, pran poz li se mesi. It's biting him back.

Rule 1 for the next presidential candidates: Under-Promise And Over-Deliver

The mafia will probably hand the next presidency to Lamothe (if Micky's government does not end with chaos). So rule 1 is for Lamothe.
