Remember those companies won't have to pay any taxes for 15 years......
Plus young workers who won't complain.......
What is the problem? These kids are learning a trade and will have a job..it beats finishing Philo being a pseudo intellectual with an empty stomach. This is a start hopefully they will move up and earn a decent wage. You have to understand that in this global economy the vast majority of haitians is good cheap labor.
A factory with thousands of workers earning slave wages......how many "moving up" positions exist?
Governments should be in the business of creating intellectual tech savvy workers......not high schools where children major in factory work.
Listen, stop dreaming and being unrealistic. It will take several generations for these people to evolve into intellectual savvy workers. They are learning how to read, write and best of all a trade. Something that will enable them to provide for their family and the most ambitions will seek more. As long as the wages are liveable their isn't wrong with it beside it is better than nothing. You haitians that what a snap of a finger expect haitians to earn $$$ and move into mansions are not realistic.. Haiti best asset is the low wages and the dedication of these hard working people to work. You give these people too much than they will be spoiled..just like the people who send money to haiti everymonth...now these low lives don't want to work and waiting for the monthly allowance to spend. I say let them die of hunger if they can't find an outlet to sustain themselves.
