It is disgusting that a country that continually produces some of the greatest novelists, poets, filmmakers, painters, musicians and other artists in the world should have as the lead representative of its culture a discredited political apparatchik and quisling of authoritarian rule such as the man proposed yesterday by Haiti's new Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe. Lucas, what happened to your D.C job? I thought that you were chosen as the new "ambassador"?

Our "Minister of Culture" has no place getting involved in music, art, literature, etc. all of those thoughts/ perspectives come from living in a land of poverty and filth. It needs no cultivation.

What this guy should be doing is rebuilding/building our museums, cathedrals, and historical sites.

Cathédrale Sainte Trinité remains in shambles and ruins. Our precious murals in pieces.

That's where this guy needs to be focused and on these type of projects.

We have many archaeological sites to be unearthed that tell the tale of our historic fight for freedom.

They go untouched or explored.

Leave the artists, poets, and writers to their own pursuits.

I took a big part in sending Jean Bertrand Aristide away....they say, there are five people who sent him away, I am one of the five ~Charles H. Baker
