I have to confess, I wasn't raised with this music in a die hard catholic home but when I hear this type of music I feel it in my bone. Words are deep.. I use to hate this kind of music..now I love it...it is like a conscious awakening..

For me it was an easy jump from my punk rock and second british invasion rock days.

Once I heard the guitar in Boukan Ginen, the rapid beats, and of course the meaningful words......I was sold.

Rolling Stones and Billboard named it Vodou-Rock....and Boukman became the only haitian band in history to be nominated for a Grammy...... the album, Vaudou Adjae.
