The flier is very nice, but in real Haitian Creole, you don't need any accents on the "e"s in 'dekole'. If you're gonna do it right, do it right all the way.

I'll start taking them more seriously when they add the promo to their home page or promo page.

http://www.aircaraibes.com

Also, the way they've written "(re-)decouvrez" on their flier makes me think they are targeting Haitian Diaspora from France, Martinique or Gouadeloupe. I'm just saying.

Interesting

And in my opinion, I beleive they need to work more on the country infrastructures before they put it big on the international map.

If you were non-Haitian would you ever pay $850 to go there?

Would you pay $850 To go in South Soudan?

I agree with Negnwe that this is probably targeted to diaspora in these countries. I think they will get a few people. That will at least get a little money in. They have to start somewhere.

di sa nou vle, men blan yo wè sa nou pa wè. pou ki rezon nou panse y'ap fè tout demach sa yo? se paske yo konnen sa nou menm ayisyen pa konnen.
yeah, I agree. Blan yo, if nothing else, they're ambitious and see opportunity where we see none.

This whole focus on tourism is a simple, superficial, distraction.

P au P is without a sewer system! Think about that.

Yet, Martelly and the diaspora are focused on "tourism".

Why?

Because it requires no investment and generates great PR.

And the diaspora follows along like Pavlov's dogs.

If you lived in NYC, and it didn't have a sewer system, would you be happy that your president is focused on tourism logo's?

I read that PAP is the most populous city in the world without a sewer system. Don't know how true that is but forget about PAP getting a sewer system. That won't happen in our lifetimes. That takes a national committment that I don't see happening any time soon.

But I disagree that tourism does not require investment. If it's done right there has to be at least some infrastructure in place.
