Now and days in New york a lot of people do recognize someone who's gay , lesbian etc for the most part.
Not only because there's a large LGBT population in New york, but also because of the LGBT movement asking for equality etc.

i agree. homosexuality, in my humble opinion, is a chosen life style. i fume with fire when people try to equate what african-americans went through in america with gay people's rights.

GUNNER is not hateful Maximo.
He has religious beliefs that he holds dear....but he is not advocating violence.
To effectively fight your battle, you have to understand where the other side is coming from.
i don't think gunner hates anyone (except maybe clinton and farmer). he has his religious views. at one point, i felt the way gunner feels. but when i thought my nephew was gay after i found a love letter from a boy in his pocket, i couldn't abandon him for that. i spoke to him and i explained to him that he wouldn't be treated any different. i was relieved though to find out the letter wasn't his, that he had to deliver it.
i have a ton of gay students, i can't treat them any other way except like students. if i were to find out that my son was gay, i'd be disappointed because of my religious views, but he would still be my son and i wouldn't treat him any other way but like my son.

gunner reminds me of my dad. Ain't been to church since somebody last died in our family (20 years); but, he just know that homosexuality is wrong 'cause he be a Christian! The bible is the word of god.....and the perfect god does not change his views to accommodate man's modern ways.
What the bible say about slavery, women's place, adulterers, wearing of certain cloth, men laying with men as they do with women.....thousands of years ago......still stands today.
If you can't accept the word of god in its entirety....then your faith does not have a leg to stand on.

Actually boo baby the bible IS NOT the word of God. It is a book INSPIRED by God. In particular the Old Testament is a HISTORY of the children of Israel and how God/Spirits dealt with those children. The New Testament were letters to the churches and written by men who claimed apostleship of Jesus Christ to whom they claim was/is the Son of God. I see elements of the Spirits and the Creator in all organized religions; but, none of them got it 100% correct. We were made in the image of these spirits/God; but, we are IMPERFECT and as such often put our own prejudices inside even when dealing with divine things.
THEREFORE I leave it to each man/woman to ANSWER to the Creator, when the time comes, because we will ALL be judged. And this isn't Christianity I'm talking but pure spirit work (vodun) which has been here since before Creation itself and is as old as the spirits themselves. I have stood in the presence of divinities, walked the roads of the dead, seen the faces of demons, layed in forest, cemeteries and fought the forces of evil. And not at one time do I feel that I as well as any other human can judge anybody. But one think is correct....God/Spirits don't change only man does.
