I'm not sure, but I don't think this extends to the foreign-born children of nationalized citizens. Only for people who were born Haitian. Again, I'm not sure. Does anyone know?

Born in Haiti.

American-Haitians need not apply.

I figured as much. But anyway, thank you for the first straight-forward, non condescending response I've ever seen you provide.

The amendments have wording to the effect that if someone has either a father or mother who is Haitian and never renounced their citizenship, this person would qualify. Anyway, that's how I read it.

Regarding double nationality, that doesn't make any sense.

Oh please, most Haitians don't even pay taxes once!

Not an income tax but an excise tax if a person applies for it.

As far as I can tell, excise tax shouldn't have anything to do with nationality. If you "apply" for it, meaning you are producing an excise-able product or service in Haiti, then you should be paying that tax.

Not sure what you mean. Sounds like you're saying two different things.

First time you've asked an intelligent question.

Gunner is one of the "Good Guys".

But you have to "think about it" to realize that.

Been meaning to comment on this post for awhile but just got my account verified. The statement above is false. Foreign-born children of Haitian citizens can also receive a passport. Some may consider me a "half' Haitian being that only my mother is Haitian but I received my passport yesterday. Decided to get it because I see my self working in Haiti in the future.

If you don't know the correct answer, there is no need for you to spread misinformation.
