So Haiti is competing in one major pageant this year. That sucks reeallly bad. I think is the lack of sponsors that prevent beautiful Haitian women to compete. In the DR 3 out of the big 4 delegates have been already selected.

Don't knock it Mayneirol....usually haiti is a NO SHOW at all four.
They are sending the same average looking Azael who had no chance in last year's Miss Universe and will have none in this year's Miss International.

Where is the so called Minister of Tourism???
Is it the same Anedie Azael like last year in Miss Universe? I think she looks good and may have a chance this time. She is smart and seems very confident. I would rather see a different Haitian competitor though.
One other thing I would like to mention is that you cannot often blame these kind of things to government officials or institutions. In the Dominican case for instance I can tell you that most of these pageants are run by private sectors and sponsors, not government institutions. A country not only succeeds by its respective government institution but also its people and the human capital they have to spare for the goodwill of their society.

I agree.
But if the Minister of Tourism is running around screaming tourism...and screaming a new image for haiti, it needs to engage, facilitate and work with the private sector to get things going.
Especially now that haiti's private sector has the "government" that it wanted.
