The president of the LGBT( lesbian, gay , bisexual, transgender) organization Kouraj in Haiti gave a lot of info about what the organization is currently doing in Haiti.
Ma'p mande'm si gen moun sou sit la vre ki enterese a'k koze sal sa yo! Sisi ou pa gen anyen pou fè?
I found his to be very interesting. IT wasn't dirty at all. The guy being interviewed was very articulate and courageous in stating his cause, and purpose of his organization. This was much better than the lousy, masisi Sodo video, which someone posts in a HaitiXchange thread every year or so (sorry CoolP.) The only BS response he gave was when the journalist asked what aspects of the LGBT community he disapproves of, and he responded "They give too much of themselves." (Totally canned response.)
But for all of you are homophobic, Haiti is probably one of the most tolerant islands in the Caribbean when it comes to gay people. We laugh behind their backs, but we don't stone them and kill them, like they do on many other islands.
I think this guy is an excellent representative for the LGBT community in Haiti. He is very well spoken and brave. It is not easy being an open masisi in Haiti although I think Haitians are more tolerant than other people in the Caribbean. As far as the interview I think the journalist asked some very dumb questions. For instance, "eske yon masisi ka gen plisie neg nan vi li" dah what kind of question is that

well The LGBT community in Haiti will be open just like the LGBT community is open here in the U.S. it's a matter of time.
It's organization like this one because of the kind of job they are doing, are helping the community to have a face and for gay, bisexual lesbians, trans people in Haiti to stop hiding and be open with who they truely are.
Only one organization can't do the work , there need to be many more like this one, in order to educate the straights ignorant, close minded people in Haiti .
At the same time the religious bigots and the ones who are just simply hateful will throw punches just like they are doing here in the U.S, and try to make a case , by saying this and that.
Once organization like this one starts to appear on Haitian TV for all the country to see , Iam sure you'll see some changes in the atmosphere, the Hateful BIgots, hypocrites LOL will start to scream.
