Oops my bad! That's what I get for cutting off my cable (lol). I've changed the title and have added details. Thanks for catching that! I actually thought this hadn't happened yet and that a Haitian athlete actually had a chance.

Why continue to ride on Zuckerberg's coat tail?

Why is his name in the title of this thread?

Has not Laine made a name for himself?

What a lack of respect for the man's achievement.

It's a news industry thing. A lot more people are going to click when they see "Zuckerberg" than if they see "Samyr Laine". Unfortunate, but it's a fact.

Wyclef??? What a pitiful statement Rachel.

While Haitians cheer him on for his achievements you sit and talk about Wyclef...smh.

He should be proud of himself.

this man sacrificed himself for haiti. he turned down a job at a law firm. he also chose haiti over u.s. where he would have had a better chance.

how can we insult him for his valiant efforts? while we sit here on hx and b.s. all day about haiti, he got off his american arse and tried to do something about it. i don't think anyone saying anything bad about him can lick his boot strap.

You guys can talk all you want. So far the only gold we have are the nuggets they are about to steal from us in the northern hills of Haiti. Face history only remembers the top 3 olympic finalists (sometimes just the gold medalist.) SUre, I'm proud of him, but soon you guys are gonna be like "Samyr who?"
