By By TRENTON DANIEL and MARTHA MENDOZA
PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti August 16, 2012 (AP)
The Haitian government has hired a one-time Clinton administration official seeking to influence U.S. officials who pledged $3 billion after a 2010 earthquake devastated the impoverished nation's capital.

Walter Corley, a former U.S. trade official, said Wednesday that he has been focusing on efforts to stem a cholera outbreak since he was hired by Haiti in April on a one-year contract that pays $5,000 a month.

I actually met Baker on Capitol Hill back in '04 when they were pushing the HOPE law for textiles. He had a crew of lobbyists with him.

Where are the Haitian diaspora activists when you need them?

Just more proof of what "Crazy" gunner has been saying for years.

Waters, Conyers, Black Caucus, Philanthropic Groups (NGOs), Democrat Party, Clinton, etc have all been raping Haiti for years.

I have written about their involvement over the years in detail.

They are bad folks.

$60k plus expenses, to wine and dine Democrat Party Gods.

"A former Clinton guy"; how many times have we heard that before?

Believe me, this isn't the only "contract " this guy has.

Thank you for posting this as outside of myself, this sort of thing seldom gets posted.

Don't be deceived my friend.

They have not included the expense account.

Maxine Waters and Conyers dine at the very finest of restaurants when they are meeting about the Haitian poor.

Only the finest is acceptable when "Aiding The Poor."

And that means tabs running over $1000 for a party of three.

Haitian poor is Big Business!

In a letter sent this week, 104 members of the United States House of Representatives urged Susan E. Rice, American ambassador to the United Nations, to press the international

organization to take the lead in responding to cholera in Haiti given the strong suspicions that its troops imported the disease. “As cholera was brought to Haiti due to the actions of

the U.N., we believe that it is imperative for the U.N. to now act decisively to control the cholera epidemic,” said the letter from John Conyers Jr., Democrat of Michigan, and the

other representatives. Since mid-April, cholera has killed an additional 400 Haitians and sickened 50,000 more, according to Haitian government statistics. This brings the official

death toll to 7,442 and the caseload to 580,947 since the first cases were detected in October 2010. The letter calls for the United Nations to push harder to find financing for water

and sanitation systems to control the epidemic.

Interesting.

Martelly is investing $250 million in a power plant that uses used PET water bottles for its fuel while congress is planning to invest in a water system that would elminate the need for bottled water.

This whole thing reeks of duplicity!

Neither event (power plant or water system) will occur, but it does lay the ground work for a massive amount of "consulting contracts" to investigate which path is best.

Cha-ching go the registers on K St.
