Kreyolfest - All New for ‘09

On April 30th, the Haitian Times newspaper based in New York City organized a press conference at the Press Cafe in Petionville, Haiti. The purpose of the conference was to inform the press in Haiti of the upcoming Kreyolfest concert, which will take place in Brooklyn, New York on June 28th, 2009.

In the conference were invited many journalists from all over Haiti and Port-au-Prince. The presenter of the afternoon was the a DJ from Radio Vision 2000, and at the conference table were Gary Pierre Pierre, the founder of the Haitian Times, as well as a member of the music group Boukman Eksperyans, Fresh from the group Vwadezil, as well as a representative of the rap group Barikad Crew.

During Kreyolfest 2009, there will be many compas and racine groups, and for the first time, we’ll get to see the raps groups Barikad Crew and Rockfam on the same stage, which means a lot of red and black bandanas!

Nan konferens de press sa-a, te gen anpil invite jounalis ki sòt nan tout vil provens ak kapital-la. Aktivite ya te deroule avek animate BS Radio Vizion 2000, epi sou tab la te gen Garry Pierre Pierre, fondatè jounal Haitian Times-lan, ak yon reprezantan Boukman Eksperyans, Fresh deVwadezil, plis yon responsab Barikad Crew.

Nan KreyolFest 2009-la, n’ap jwènn plizye group konpa ak rasin epi se pou la premyè fwa n’ap jwènn ni Barikad Crew ak Rockfam sou mènm sèn. Sa vle di anpil mouchwa rouj ak mouchwa nwa!
