Compas Music superstar Michael Benjamin appears to be taking his craft to a completely new dimension with the release of his new single “I’m Loving my Life”. It has a very pop/hip-hop, upbeat feeling to it, and is getting positive feedback on the Internet. It’s a huge departure from the Compas of his group Krezi Mizik, and it will remain to be seen if it will have any cross-over appeal as well as if it will be embraced by the Haitian community.
Listen to it, and let people know what you think. Di sa’w vle!

It's an ok song. His lyrics seemed to have failed him.
A reader said something about rap kreyol mess, why is it a mess? You're talking about the most popular genre amongst gen X and Y in Haiti.
Not bad, but not true cross over since there is nothing "kompas" about the tune. It's an R&B;tune from a Haitian artist, not a Kompas tune trying to cross the "Western/American" listener. But sounds good nonetheless.
