Chef Anthony Bourdain of the Travel Channel’s “No Reservations” series, traveled to Haiti in this episode in which he meets Sean Penn, the musical group RAM’s Richard Morse at the Oloffson Hotel, and is occasionally accompanied by young Haitian actor Handy Tibert who has appeared in movies such as “Barikad”. We found some of Bourdain’s observations of Haitian society, culture, and its relationship to the outside world very astute, and dead on. His passion is very well expressed through a multitude of comments sprinkled with an occasional, censored, four-letter word. This Emmy Award-winning episode originally aired in 2011.
