On a rainy Thursday July 2, 2009 at the BLVD lounge in lower Manhattan, the stage was set for the second edition of Coup de Coeur. Even the rain could not put a damper on the scheduled show. The lounge was set for a more intimate atmosphere between the artist and the audience; just Mika, a mic, and his guitar. The very talented and versatile Mika Ben (Michael Benjamin), who undoubtedly came prepared to wow the crowd with his vocal abilities, did just so. He left the crowd in awe after singing his own rendition of songs like “African Queen”, “No Woman no cry”, “Always on my mind” and “We are the world” as a special tribute to the late Michael Jackson . However, the show would not have been complete without his well known crowd favorites, “Le’m we’w”, “Back to Back”, and his latest single “I’m loving my life”

As the show came to a close, and to the crowd surprise, Belo made a guest appearance and gave the audience a snippet of a soon to be released song. Emeline Michel and King Kino where among a few well known HMI artists who where present.

Ladies and gentleman, BLVD lounge was the place to be for this show.  If you missed it this time, you should definitely catch the next show featuring Eddy Francois on August 6, 2009

Until next time

Jerry, this is the way Haitian-American's speak. The only thing we can ask is that the video editor add subtitles for portions that people might might understand.
