NO more Haitian and dominican topics.  If you look at history of this site you will see that some Haitians and dominicans don't get along.  Thats not the story for all.

HAITIAN 101 I would otherwise agree with your comments about the reappearance of this topic here, but after realizing that this question is being asked by a young person, who has a concern about what is going on in his/her school between Haitian & Dominican kids, I feel that we should not simply leave this question unanswered.
: This is obviously an issue that is seeking to be resolved. It hasn't dissappear, simply because just the few of us who post here have gotten tired of debating the issue.... Our arguments and harsh comments did not change anything except, perhaps to feed our egos, positive or negatively. But when someone post a plea for suggestions regarding how this situation between Domicans & Haitians is continuing to filter itself into the lives of children ,pepertuating more violence between them on school grounds, then perhaps the issue is worth revisiting. We should force ourselves, that is including myself, to check our egos at the door, and come in cleanly to discuss this issue in more optimistic mindsets. At least for the sake of our children in school here. I'm not expecting that our posts here to be the magic answer, but with luck, something positive may emerge. I hope the poster who re-initiated this topic does return to participate... Based on the way the question reads, I wonder of the origin of this child (young person), if he/she is Haitian or Dominican or American?    I understand the tendency here is to quickly invalidate posters whose voices are not in unison, or whose words do not speak at the expected pre-set level. But being that these words resemble those of a child who has come here to post seeking answers...try not lock the doors, or play him/her in a trick. Develishly tempting as it may get, can we also refrain from telling him/her stuff like: "you're not at "my level", and... "don't let the door hit you on your way out"?

"Love's in need of Love today, don't delay , send yours in right away.... Hate, hate's going around breaking many hearts.. Stop it please before it's going too far..."

Sorry, The reason I jumped out like that is because topics like this really get under my skin.  I don't really get along with Dominicans and I don't like the idea that we share the same Island, nothing I can do about that.

My problem with them is not only the present but our history together.  To the person that started this thread, I am sorry for being ignorant and not even given you a chance.  I have to tell you I'm Bias but I'll try to be open minded.

To the starter please tell us what sparks the fights.

To SAJI, THANKS

Thank you for responding in such a spirit Haitian 101:   I too, want to ask the starter what sparks these fights in his/her school. Now, let's just hope that I am right about this poster and his/her concern.

Of course Anyone else's comments on this issue or anyone who wants to also share their experiences or is concerned about Haitian & Domincains kids fighting in school are welcome to contribute.
