Your points on economics, are very valid. Yes you are right we have put ourselves in a position of just being consumers not producers. I was of course taking about menthalithy, not at all in comparing our natural resouces, and economic potential to that of China. I meant over all attitude. Now dose Haiti need to be rebuilt with Haitians who truly love her, and politicians who are not corrupt and can see beyound there Range rovers? The answer again is yes. But let us not forget that this plan was set up for failure from the beggining. There has been in effective mandate, for many years that Haiti should never rise again. Never!!!
Now we should look to trade and consume our own goods as much as possible as you have mentioned, your commitment to our people is strong, but we must build ourselves, and let the children of Haiti who are in other countries be assessts, never our enemies our not to be utilizie. Like I have previously said, we will have to utilize all our people anywhere they are. We need more then singers and actors. We need in infrastructure, and we need to send some of those dollars we make in those foreign countries home, so that we can rebuild our country. |
