Hats off to Haitixchange.com!! I just returned from Mount Prospect where the Haitian Flag Daycelebration took place. I want to thank you guys for a wonderful, fun-filled, peaceful event. Great music, cool people, no unpleasant incident (except for one drunk guy that the police took away). There was even a lesbian couple hanging out, but no one snickering or taunting them. My people are coming a long way. T-Vice, Carimi, La Troupe Mackandal, Tabou (too short) and Wycleff made me proud. The whole family had a ball. Congrats, keep up the good work!!

Indeed, the event at Mt. Prospect was a success.  I enjoyed the community coming together and having a blast yet 'peaceful' moment.

But that's not all, coming up this week Friday May 23 is the Mapou Productions at Carnegie Hall, the tix go for 30bucks and possibly higher for better seating.

I hope you guys took advantage of Haitian Awareness Week for the month of May: from various universities, to community events.

Looking forward to see what will come up for the upcoming months.

HAPPY BICENTENNIAL!!

Thank you very much for the compliment, but we would like everyone to know that the event was put together by HACF (Haitian American Culture Festival) which deserves a huge "big up" for what they have done. It's turned t out to be a historical event that will be even better next year!!
