We have to keep an open mind to anything in life.  Knowledge is power, we have to be more knowledgeable in order for us to move up.  My curiosity of vodouism  doesn't mean that i'm going to practice it, i just want to know what is it about.  How many things your parents tell you not to doand never give you the reason why you shouldn't do it?  Most of the time your parents don't even know why you shouldn't they just brought them up like that.  I like to know things specially about my culture, so when i'm having a discussion i could be accurate, when other people ask me, i could honestly respond.

I fellowship with God everyday and i believe in him.  As a Haitian  i hear  many things about vodou very negative and now i'm seeing another side of it, i want to be my own judge.

To the Guest above Flambert,

Many Christians think by coming and bashing other religions, especially Voudoo is showing their dedications to God and actually going something good. Don't forget, we live in a world with many different people and beliefs and we have to live together.

Now in Haiti, me as a Christian I would never stand against recognizing voudou as a regular religion as many other religions. Haiti is a free country, people are free to choose their religions. Its not up to me or anybody else to choose what you drink or worship. God is not killing people who choose to worship what they want. He sends the rain to all and for all, with no exceptions.

I do have to say, there are a lot that I don't agree with the Voudou religion and many other religions, thats why I'm not part of them. God orders us to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the world. He did not say to disrespect anybody, people are free to choose what they want.

About Haiti we need to work together to make it better

I'm okay with that, but some Christian just want to impose their religion on you.  I've been to many different churches, and i study with many different religions, there are things that i agree  with there are things i disagree, the fact remain i respect their belief.

Yeah tijou you're right! I personnaly have problems with church because the members of them wanted just me money. You know in church there is a lot of manipulated peoples, they tell you good things they take their time to ask you news about you and your family, but if you refuse to give them money.... You will not see them come talk to you anymore... I know that this situation came be in many religions but I tell you what I see

Please Wait a minute KreyolMan

I've been to many churches and yes I've seen some of what you are saying.  But I've also seen many live change and people delivered.  In the Church, bills have to be paid, memebers that are in need have people be help finacially; so what is the problem with people putting money together and doing so?  We know that this world is govern by Spiritual forces and thing that is unseen. (for those who belive)  We know that there is a One creator of all things.  I have yet heard of any realigion or gods claiming that they are the beging and the end, the most powerful, and has a name that all kness will bow down to and confest  to.  I only heard of one that takes full authority, and that is the Lord Jesus Christ.   Thats who I have many expirence with and thats who I choose to follow and serve.

I was in hospital for over a month and every single day members visited and prayed with me.  The Care Partners in the Hospital had nothing to do cause my church family took take of me cause I couldn't do it for myself.  They helped me financially when I needed it the most.  The most important thing was they brought me food so I did not have to eat the hospitals  food.

God delivered me from Curses that people place on me, (we all know what I'm talking about)

NOU PAP SA BLYE    Nou sonje, nou pap sa blye.  Jou nou te di nou pral jwe mizik peyi-nou, jwe mizik Vodou.   Nou tout te santi nou fe younn ak tout lot fre nou yo kap viv kilti nou. Nou tout te santi nou Ayisyen.

Le-sa, nou pap sa blye. Jou nou te di nou pral jwe mizik peyi-nou, jwe mizik lakou.  Nou tout te santi nou kontan. Nou pap sa blye.

Petwo, Kongo, Rada, Ibo, Nago; Zanset nou yo te la, Ayibobo!   Jou sa nou jwe jouk le sole'y leve.  Jou sa nou pran konsians.

Jou-sa nou pap sa blye.  Gen anpil moun ki te wont pou nou, Yo tap di se mizik lougawou,  men nou konnen se manti.

Nou pap sa blye jou sila, se jou sa nou te libere.  Nou pap sa blye premie fwa; Eksperyans Boukman te tou la.  Nou pap sa blye premie fwa nou tap jwe Vodou.

WE WON'T FORGET   We remember,  We won't forget the day we said we were going to play the music of our country, to play the music of Vodou.  We felt that we became one with all our brothers experiencing this culture.  We truly felt Haitian.  That day, we won't forget the day we said we were going to play the music of our country, the music of the courtyards.  We were all so happy; we're not going to forget it.

Petro, Congo, Rada, Ibo, Nago; Our ancestors were there, Ayibobo.  That day we played until the sun came up, that day we understood.  There were many who were ashamed of us, they said we were playing the devil's music.  But we all know it is a lie.

We won't forget that day. The day we were liberated.  We won't forget that first time; Boukman Eksperyans was there.  We won't forget that day; the first day we played our Vodou music.

Proud words man. Merci anpil Kreyolbro. Se yo menm ki fre nou yo vre. There are so many of our brethren being persecuted for no reason whatsoever. We need to stand behind the wrongfully accused.
