Oh yes Flambert, we can NOT be anti-dark skin. At this point in history, it's not a choice. It's a duty.
I just want to shed light on the fact that we can not be this tough on those of us who do not feel that the larger base of their black haitianhood is African. Because, a good chunk of us -particularly those participating on this website forums- have stronger racial origins in Canada, America, Europe, the White world.
All I'm asking is for Haitians to promote what most of us are about; of strong African descent (I agree with you Flambert) but at the same time be wise and very lenient towards those of us who just don't fall into the category of the majority.
Ironically enough (and maybe that's a social and historical issue), it seems that nowadays, "les sangs-mêlés de l'extérieur", the not-so-African-Haitians by birth and by function are exactly those who seem the most conscious and willing to lift Haiti's image.
We need to be very careful through positive learning and mutual respect not to bite the feeding hand (pou nou pa mòde dwèt k ap ba nou manje) hypothetically speaking.
