Will ROOTS MUSIC HAITIAN BEAT (The famous West Coat band) be there?  If yes; that would be worth a plane trip.  Jjakomo any tickets?

Uh oh, Kreyolbro, you read my mind. This sounds like one of those phantom Jjakomo events done in the name of Haiti, with "moun blan kap bat tanbou".

This would actually be interesting to see. I didn't know that Mesa Arizona had enough Haitians (or people interested in Haiti) to fill a hall. I would really like to see pictures of this!

I've been talking to members of this organization and find they have a very interesting thing going on over in Arizona. There is a small , but growing Haitian community in Arizona and it's great to see them taking the initiaive to organize themselves in this way. Look out for an article on their endeavors right here on HaitiXchange. Also, we're planning on checking out their event in December (my first time in AZ!)

I actually got a call from the Haitian Association of the North West (based in Portland, OR), and might be going up there soon also. Of course, if I go up there, I definitely need to get to Seattle also! (I'll be able to bring you the flags and other Haitian paraphernalia that I owe you!!!)

I think most of that Association is based with members of the church. They had a huge meeting about two weeks ago. But of course I haven't a clue what was said. How can you visit the NW and not get to Seattle. The weather is extremely mild for the season. Can't wait to see yah.
