As we shamely approaching this 200 years of so call Independance. I begin to wonder, what are we gonna really celebrate and whats really going through every haitians mind.

To be brief, why 1804 if its only to be in this predicament! We have been struggling ever since our socall independance.  I hate that day, and every time someone mention it. I think that theres obsolutely nothing to be proud of or to celebrate, taking account of our current state.

I envision a day of VOODOO, VOODOO, VODOU and more VOODOO.

Haitianmassive; I hear you loud and clear brother. I will say it again you are a visionary.  Of course 1804 is a shameful year, but fortunately you are now in the US.

No need for you to worry about what's going on in other Haitian's head.  Forget Haiti and its Vaudou, you in America now..nahhmean  Get rid of that accent if you have one, change your name, and pass for another ethnic group.   It can be done, many Haitians like yourself are living a peaceful existence as Jamaicans/Dominicans/Bajans/Black Americans  etc.  It's the only way.
