I hate blaming Haiti's problems on the U.S. the U.S. played a major lead role in Haiti's demise and continue to help us sink deeper in hopelessness today...

I have been wondering why Haitians cant stop cutting down trees and why our own government isn't doing anything at all to stop it but now I see it clearer...

The U.S. embargoed Haiti and being that the U.S. was Haiti's only source of fuel that meant there was no gas coming into the country for cooking...alot of people who used cooking gas reverted back to charcoal. Now being the demand for charbon was so high it gave the out of work farmers (since there were no exporting to anywhere but the U.S. anyway who with globerization shut the door on our future) a way to get by by cutting trees down and selling them for charbon...then with the situation in the country getting even more hopeless more and more took to cutting down trees, anywhere they can find to sell and live another day...now there are no more trees left to sell...our whole existance revolves around import/export from the United States...Globerization allowed the U.S. to corner the world market and serve as a monopoly in all trades in and out of the West Indies except for some minimal trading between countries like Jamaica and Cuba, Bahamas and Guyana etc, trading is non existant without the U.S. dollar or products...

So now Haiti is stuck between a rock and a hard place, but not trees...the ecosystem is so bad some say there's no possible turn around...a tropical place turned desert...the almighty United States the same country we love and some of us enroll in their army to die for has literally put a bullet in the heart of our homeland as they have done over and over in the past since 1915.

With the U.S. as the only world power, there will never be releif for Haiti...the only reason we were able to blossom in the past was because there was the Soviet Union...today there's none higher or equal then the power hungry, money hungry willing to see a whole nation die and squeeze every penny out of it as they can United States of America...

The only reason Haiti is still worth something and the people haven't turned into cannibals already is because of our fortunate geographical location...the U.S. still needs us to control the drug trade...why do you think Democrats fought to keep Aristide in power and now Republicans want him out...it's a fight between the two parties over trade routes...the Democrats own the trade route that goes through Haiti and D.R. each time they change parties here Haiti is back in turmoil because that party needs a Haitian government to puppet for the drug trade with the Colombians...I am going in too deep, so I will stop here

Happy Bi-Centeniel...I love you Haitians
