To the mtf who calls himself jesus, you need a reality check.  As far as making all blacks look bad, I think that's the other way around. While black Americans sat and got hosed down and lynched by the white all through the 60's, Haitian's were free, yeah, meaning they were no longer saying "yes massa."  I really think you're ignorant for not taking the time to learn about Haitian history before you opened your mouth.  And Haitian flag day is about Unity, Culture, Peace, Love and so many things.  It's a shame that you don't get it.

FUNNY  and now your Haitian people are risking their lives in boats to come and enjoy what those black americans fought for.

If your people are so proud, why don't they stay in haiti and fight for a better haiti?

While you are at it,  get a history lesson...haitians were being butchered by the Tonton Makouts in the 60's.  And now you people are being mistreated throughout the caribbean.

In your so called 200th anniversary, you are the laughing stock of the world and a shame to all blacks.

Jesus Christ is right, you people should hide your faces and your flags.

I will tell you why I am proud.  January 1, 1804. First black independent Republic in the westen world.  For letting the world know, very early in history, that the statu quo needed to be changed.  That Slavery will not be tolerated.  That is a huge contribution to all blacks and to humanity in general.  Yes Haiti has a lot of issues facing it. It is very easy to sit here and list all of Haiti's problems anyone can do that.  What we need is an intelectual discussion of the issue and maybe we can arrive at some creative solutions

I agree that you should wave your flag if you want, but sorry, get off your high horse. This country doesn't owe you sh*t. Why does this country owe you, someone from Haiti who have nothing to do even with the descendants of slaves in this country, anything? The USA doesn't owe you any more than it owes any other immigrant nationality coming to this country.
