I agre with the person who commented on the viedo. I checked it out and the quality is pretty awesome. Come on, you guys have seen the quality of most Haitian videos, right? Most of them look like someopne just took a camcorder and started shooting. This one is actually top notch. If you guys don't have a DSL or cable Internet connection, It's about time you got one so you can see wht you're missing.

Peace.

The shepherds are the best rhymers I ever heard in creole.  I read about them in one of the haitian news papers, and I could not believe it because the article was comparing these guys with Wyclef. I thought it was for publicity, but when I got the cd for myself, these guys blew me away. Trust me, I know music....

Good job guys...

when are these guys performing anyway? I don't deny that they sound good on the video, and more specifically on the album, but sometimes you need to see to believe.

Alright Clef is more popular and well known and I do believe he is a more talented musician (I don't know if the Shepherds are musicians.) But the Shepherds are definitely better rhymers than Clef. There rhymes are on point. For those of you who don't understand Creole, you'll just have to take my word for it.

Hmmm., I wonder if the Shepherds read these posts. I haven't seen Bennchoummy in here in a while. I would love to read what they have to say.

@Chantale from Connecticut...

Ironic that one would say "wfo the f*ck" regarding a Christian group, but hey, that's our society epi se konsa ayisien ye.

I remember when Haitians were saying "who the f*ck is Refugees, who the f*ck is Wyclef, who the F*ck is Tyrone"...and now everyone is riding their jockstrap so to speak...why, because they got noticed by Americans, because they wound up on BET or MTV or have a designer backing them up.

You think Shepards looks like any guy on the street? Just like every rap star looks like any guy on the street. But they seem to be pulling people. Shepards looks like the average guy on teh street because that is who they mainly are trying to get at...those on the streets and in the clubs and on the block and in the back alleys, to let them know, you can dress like this, but still have a close and personal relationship with God.

Then you want to compare Tyrone and The Shepers by saying "What have The Shepards done?" Well, what much can they do if they are just starting out? Look how long it took for Fugees to come out. You probably don;t even know the name of the Fugees first record? No...it wasn't "The Score".

Tyrone has moved himself up the ladder to the upper echelon of society and money, and he has also helped teh haitian community here and abroad in many ways. I am happy for any Haitian who climbs out of teh crab barrel and makes it, and I always try to support those who are struggling and in the beginning stages. I hope that none of our upcoming artists give up their hopes and dreams because of people who come out shooting at them negatively from jump.

As for The Shepards, they've got one thing that makes them very rich: God. The Tyrones, and The Wyclef's and Beauvais and the Chantales may not get to be the star at the gates of heaven, may not be accepted in their...these brothers are popular with God right now and God is their biggest fan...pushing his word minus any bumping and grinding and sex sales, so i think that even though they want to "make it", their main focus is to spread the owrd to as many people or one person, and to always be right with God as saved Christians.

Mad respect to all my Haitian people in the struggle, all my community developers and activists, all the aspiring stars. A big "Twwwwwwwwiiiiiiip" to all haterz, go play with the alligaterz!

Hey yo Mak30, you should definitely become a writer. I think you are already that. But seriously, I think we need young thinkers like yourself and the Shepherds of course to make a unique difference in our community. I don't even think we have a community yet. The problem falls on a bunch of immature minds that just can't let go of child like stupid comments to make.  For some strange reason , I believe in the Shepherds' movement. NOt even as a "christian", but as a young brooklynite whose struggling here in streets with stereotypism, finger pointing, under estimating, and the like to all of these pessimisms. I rather listen or talk to the Shepherds if I could than to anyone else that's gonna look down on me just because I look like "a regular street character". I love the album. They have this one song called 'Bad Boy', that joint is crazy yo.  They also have this other joint called 'religion' I think; where they talk about negative things that's going on inside churches. That joint helped me to see things on a different level for real. Those who criticize the most are more likely to be the big hypocrites. That's a big lesson I got personally from that paricular song...

But on the real though, I will love to see the Shepherds perform some where again. I saw them last year, but I want more. Can one of them or even all of them write back or something?

Whoa, whoa, whoa!  Why so much HATE on a forum dedicated to a CHRISTIAN hip-hop group?

I like the Shepherds.  It's the first I heard of this kind of group.  I can't comment on the interview, I didn't read it much! I went straight to the video!  Then I forwarded it to my friends.  I bet my DAD won't like it, though!  He doesn't like anything w/a BEAT!

Although some people say the interview was lacking, I'm glad Haitixchange even gave them the time of day!  If there's room for improvement, that's aight...it will be better next time, right?  Until then, keep it up.  We have to give our Haitian artists props, no one else will do it for us!
