yes I think it is very good occassion that Haitian community suppose to encourage all the young haitian gils. We should be concerned because one day I hope I can see miss Haiti on Miss America Model.

A few years back we had our first Haitian-American win the crown of Miss America. Her name is Marjorie Vincent and she was Miss Illinois.
I think beauty contests are fun and should be seen for what they are; entertainment.

as amber had asked, what exactly are the duties of miss Haiti? is it similar to that of miss America (for instance, will cassandre get to travel to haiti--kind of like when miss america travels all over the u.s.)?
