The Diaspora is somehow helping Haiti already in the form of millions of dollars that get transfered yearly by families helping their love ones back home. We can actually use the same principle by encouraging more Diaspora people to simply adopt one deprave family in Haiti. The result would be more money flowing in the country"Economy Stimulation" and who knows what can happen when you much more well nourish Haitians in the country and also you would feel much better knowing that your money is actually going to people who really need it instead of helping someone built their "chateau" furthermore I do think these donations would be "Tax-exempt" in places like the US.

I think we need to continue with this idea of helping ourselves and also teach our kids to get involved. There is a group of older physicians who'd like to see this happen and beside citibank, an Executive Vice President at chase is dreaming of such idea. We need to go forward and make this real, use the press to galvanize the news, serious religious leaders and their place of worship, have  town meetings and most importantly F.A.H.R.E. the regional organization could play a major role in this movement. It about us, people us colour, it's non partisan, non political. We need to find a way to achieve this goal ladies and gentleme. A committee made of public/private sectors, folks who are experienced in running great entreprises, people of great character, integrity, good testimony and good morale should be appointed to oversee the fund. A friend of mine has been talking about a "fond commun" for a while. I believe we can and should seriously look into it. Let's kik off the project on Haitixchange. I will be back with more ideas.
