Hi All,

March 15 is "International Day Against Police
Brutality". On Saturday, March 15, 2003, the Haitian
Coalition for Justice, the October 22nd Coalition to
Stop Police Brutality, Repression and the
Criminalization of a Generation and the Stolen Lives
Project are joining forces to put together the third
Stolen Lives Induction Ceremony. It is an event to
honor the families of people killed by law
enforcement.

Join us at the House of the Lord Church located at 415
Atlantic Avenue (between Bond and Nevins Streets) at
5pm Sharp for this major event.

***********

March 16, 2003, will mark the 3rd anniversary of the
murder of Patrick Dorismond by New York Police
Department (NYPD) cop Anthony Vasquez. That same month
in 2000 4 other young black males were murdered by the
NYPD. On the other hand, March 2000 also saw the
formation of the Haitian Coalition for Justice, a
grassroots community organization committed to fight
uncompromisingly against police brutality and for
social justice.

In this spirit we invite you join us at a community
forum on Sunday, March 16, 2003, to commemorate 3
years of mourning but also to celebrate 3 years of
struggle. The event will be held at 6PM at PS 399
located at 2707 Albemarle Rd. (corner of Rogers Ave.
and Albemarle Rd.) in Brooklyn, NY. The parents of
many victims of police violence will be present and we
will be showing the documentary film "Justifiable
Homicide" which shows the police murder of Anthony
Rosario and Hilton Vega and the complicity of then
Mayor Guiliani and then Police Commissioner Bratton in
the shocking cover-up which ensued. We will have music
and poetry of struggle for your entertainment and time
will be set aside for audience participation.

Hope to see you there!
