Does anyone know what "Sou Poudre" is? My grandmother was talking about putting some in some rice or something. It sounds like something with pork in it, and I'm not trying to eat pork. I just want to make sure before I talk to granny.

yes, it's some kind of spices (bacon strips) added into rice to add flavor

Guest it is some kind of pork prepared especially for rice or gravy.  Haitian101 Hates "Sou Poudre"  I think its the same thing a "viean santi"
