The "celebrations" remind me of a guy of a guy renting a one bedroom shaq while dining at the most expensive reatausrants, and partying all night only to go home and realize he aint got S$%t.  Haitians deserve to commemorate our independence day, and educate ourselves and other about our history but to lavishly spend money when you aint got none is Insane.  

It would not be bad it the infrastructure that were built for the celebrations were roads, water purifications systems and other lasting infrastrucure that would give the economy a boost, but to build monuments, and public places, and other "Pretty things" is STUPID.DUMB.IDIOTIC.

I know Aristide says he does things for the really poor, but come on the only thing people can do in a "public places" is sit there and think about how the FREAKING MONEY was WAISTED while they sit there and starve to death, (Oh well at least they die of hunger in a Nice public place, that should help the dam economy).
